Can you withdraw crypto from Ledger?

Can you withdraw cryptocurrency from Ledger? I have read that this hardware wallet is the most secure for storing crypto, but I don't really understand how to manage it yet. Is it possible to easily withdraw and buy crypto from this wallet? Do I need to use the Ledger Live app ledgerlive-login.com or do you know of any other ways?
