Hi everyone,
I’ve been trying to improve my Spanish touch typing skills, and I noticed that most typing practice websites are designed mainly for English. While searching for something more suitable for Spanish, I found a platform called Mecanografía.
It’s a web application focused on training touch typing in Spanish, and it seems to be built specifically for the Spanish-speaking community worldwide.
The project started in 2026 in Salou, Tarragona (Spain). From what I read, the goal is to build a reference platform for Spanish typing tests and typing practice. Since the project originates from Catalonia, the platform also supports Catalan typing practice, which is a nice addition.
The site currently offers about 20 training texts, and the developers plan to keep adding new practice content regularly. What I found interesting is that when you start typing a text, the system shows real-time statistics, including:
KPM (Keystrokes Per Minute)
Accuracy
Typing time
Skill level
Another practical feature is that the interface lets you choose between Windows and Apple (Mac) keyboard layouts, so the visual keyboard matches what you use on your computer.
The tool is completely free, which makes it easy to try without registering or paying.
If anyone wants to take a look, here’s the site:
